The Weeknd and Ariana Grande's collaboration "Save Your Tears" shoots from No. 6 to No. 1 for its first week at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart.
The song marks the sixth Hot 100 No. 1 both singers. It's neither artists' only hit in the past year, either. Ari topped the charts with ''Positions'' last fall while The Weeknd's ''Blinding Lights'' was a top-5 mainstay for most of 2020.
The remix version of ''Save Your Tears'' which is a remix from the Weeknd’s album ''After Hours'', premiered along with both the song and an animated music video on April 22, 2021.
Not only are Ariana and the Weeknd tied for their number of No. 1 hits, both are also record breakers in their own ways. As noted by Billboard, “After Hours’ three Hot 100 No.1's have led in three distinct years: “Heartless” in 2019, “Blinding Lights” in 2020 and now “Save Your Tears” in 2021.”
