"I know a star and hustler when I see one and EST Gee is up next," Gotti said of the signing. "He got what it takes." To coincide with the announcement, Gotti shared a video on instagram breaking the news while counting up $750,000 in cash to give to 26-year-old Louisville, Kentucky rapper as a gift.
EST Gee started rapping around late 2015, as he shuttled between Houston and Louisville, after getting involved in the streets. He caught a drug trafficking charge in 2016, and unfortunately, was shot five times in 2019. Despite the setbacks,Gee stayed focused on his rap career, and developing his skills as an excellent storyteller.
In December of 2020, he released his standout project Ion Feel Nun, which featured guest appearances from Icewear Sada Baby, Vezzo, and Payroll Giovani.
